La Petite Bouquet
La Petite Bouquet is a globally recognized florist shop that stays ahead of the latest trends in the industry. Our target audience encompasses customers from all walks of life, catering to diverse preferences and needs. Our primary goal is to develop a product that stands out in the market, consistently delighting customers, and driving increased sales, all while ensuring the highest quality products and delivering exceptional services.
THE PROBLEM
Many individuals face significant challenges when it comes to visiting a flower shop due to their busy schedules, often considering it a time-consuming endeavor.
THE GOAL
Design an app for La petite Bouquet that allow customer to make their purchase online and have their flowers be delivered to them, still fresh.
MY ROLE
UX Designer, design an app for the trendy florist, La Petite bouquet from conception to delivery.
Responsibilities
Conducting interviews, paper and digital wireframing, low and high-fidelity prototyping, conducting research study plan, conducting usability studies, accounting for accessibility, and iterating on designs

UNDERSTANDING THE USER
I conducted interviews and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. Most users are working people who don’t have time to go to the flower shop and due to long queue they waste a lot of time.
This user group confirmed the assumption that we made while doing the research but also revealed that time was not the only factor limiting users from going to flower shop. Other user problems included obligations, challenges, bad quality flowers, and only a limited types of flowers that make it difficult to get to a flower shop..

The Challenge
This was my very first project. I have faced a lot of difficulty to create my wireframes for different screen. Most of my pages were cluttered. In some pages, I have not included connections. Font sizes and type was another challenge for me as it was not consistent.
BREAKING DOWM THE PROCESS
I have tried to find the user pain points, created personas and user journey. Mapping user journey map revealed how helpful it would be for
users to have access to a well designed and structured La Petite Bouquet app.
I have created sitemap. The sitemap I have created before the wireframes and all. Along the way I have made changes about the pages.

Paper wireframes were created. Taking time to draft the design of the app. But along the way I have made some changes. Those were my initial ideas. I have kept the homepage as it is though just made a few adjustment.
THE DESIGN PHASE

LOW-FIDELITY PROTOTYPE
Using the digital wireframes, I have created a low-fidelity prototype. It wrap up all the action a user might take while using a florist app.

LESSONS LEARNED
“Design creates stories, and stories create memorable experiences, and great experiences have this innate ability to change the way in which we view our world.” - Christian Saylor
This design was the very first time that I had experience feedbacks. Not all feedbacks will be good feedbacks. You will have to face critics on your design.

You are as a designer you need to think like a consumer and try to be like them in order to improve the user experience.
